Using the courts and related facilities

1. The courts and related facilities are only to be used for playing badminton.
2. No pushing or pulling of the net pillar, no moving the pillar base, and no pulling of the floor mats.
3. No markings are to be placed on the surface of any court.
4. From 1 November 2024, only badminton shoes are allowed on court — multi-purpose shoes are not permitted.
5. All shoes must be clean and free of mud, dirt, grass, chewing gum, etc.
6. No food or canned drinks are allowed anywhere in the venue. Bottled drinks and light food such as chocolate bars may be consumed in the rest area.
7. Any mark made by players will incur a professional cleaning fee from $150 per court. Any damage to a court caused by players will incur a professional repair fee from $500.
8. Any child under 5 years old must remain within arm's reach of their parent or guardian at all times on our premises. Keeping children within arm's reach is an important part of active supervision at that age — we don't accept leaving a child unattended so a parent can play, and we don't accept cancellation requests made for this reason. Repeated violations may lead to further action, including verbal warnings or refusal of entry.

Booking and cancellation

1. Bookings for the use of the facilities must be made through the online booking system only.
2. The duration of each booking includes all set-up, pack-down, warm-up and warm-down time.
3. Members may not use the facilities outside their booked period, and may incur a fee for running over.
4. Booking fees exclude use of air conditioning — IBC decides whether to turn it on or off based on a range of factors.
5. IBC reserves the right to change a booking in rare circumstances, though we will endeavour to avoid this wherever possible.

Compliance

1. Commercial transactions conducted without the consent of centre management are strictly prohibited. Anyone involved will be asked to leave the premises, may be reported to the relevant authorities, and legal action may be pursued.
2. Members must ensure that anyone using or accessing the facilities as part of their booking — including attendees, visitors, invitees or spectators — complies with these Terms and Conditions at all times.
3. Please keep your belongings safe while on our premises. We hold no responsibility for lost belongings. Our CCTV cameras are for security purposes only, not for locating lost items, and footage can only be requested by legal authorities in accordance with Australian law.

Injury

Badminton is a physical activity involving a range of movements. By taking part in play, training or social sessions, you understand and accept that there is a possibility of physical injury. You voluntarily agree to assume all risk and responsibility for any injury or accident that may occur while at the venue. You release and indemnify International Badminton Centre, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants and employees from any liability, claim, demand or cause of action arising from damage, loss, injury or death to you, your children, or your property in connection with any activity at the venue. You agree to waive your right to hold International Badminton Centre and its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants and employees liable for such damage, loss, injury or death, and you confirm that you understand your own physical limitations and agree not to exceed them.
